FAQ
Q. What type of photography to you do?
A. My work is mostly lifestyle photography.
My style is more lifestyle for newborns. I do like to offer at the end of the session usually unless baby is having awake time during the session, awake time I like to capture their facial expressions, get to see there eyes open. I tend to prefer more natural poses for babies instead of the more complex poses.
Sitter and children sessions is more lifestyle for the sunset sessions, but if your getting one of my mini studio session or a calendar session then they are more posed, I will had props set ups and ideas and poses to try but sometimes sitters and toddlers don’t want to sit or lay in all the props I have planned for which is totally fine, I just adjust the session to suit them.
Maternity sessions are location sunset sessions and are more lifestyle with some poses.
Family sessions are lifestyle and are more relaxed and capturing the family in the moment and being together. Telling a story and capturing your family as they are.
Boudoir sessions are more posed with a relaxed feel.
Q. Why are you different from some of the other newborn & family photographer’s around?
A. Because I will be there for you, for any questions you have, help in deciding which package, and products that will suit you, your family and your budget the best. I am available for you to msg, email or ring me at any time, If your awake nesting at 3am and think of a question to ask me then text me ( I may not reply at 3am but you never know, and if I don’t reply straight away I will do as soon as I can. I am here to help in anyway I can.
Q: Do you offer payment plans?
A. Yes, two payment plans options, 1st is in house payment plan, where you make fortnightly payments ( either leading up to your session or after your session ) via bank transfer once final payment is received you will get a email with your gallery link to download your images and any prints and products will be then ordered. 2nd is Afterpay
Q: Can I just buy the minimum package?
A. Yes you can, but once you see all of your amazing images you may not want to stick with the minimum package. I ask all my clients to share the investment guide with partners and/or financial decision makers. The best way to remember all of the perfect details of what your baby looked like is have all these images in an album and our 10x10 album displays them perfectly.
Q. What if my baby won’t sleep and is/or unsettled?
A. Sometimes this happens, That's just part of working with babies! They run the show, They are the boss, I will work with them, If baby is awake then I will take awake photos for a short amount of time, and then I will wrap baby and comforted back to sleep. I will try all the tricks I know, I like to use white noise, shushing, pacifiers if needed, but if that fails I will ask mum to try a top-up extra feed, and sometime dads just have that magic touch too. I will not force them to do poses they’re not comfortable doing. If your baby is crying and we can’t settle them with what we know usually works, we will discuss rescheduling. But we will focus on getting those beautiful photos.
Q. What type of camera and equipment do you use?
A. I use Nikon camera, I do have a few different lenses I like to use, some I will only use on location and some I will use in every session type and in both studio and location sessions. In studio, I use a strobe light, that way I can control my lighting a lot better than if I was using natural lighting. On location, natural lighting is the only option for me, and because of the sun can be quite harsh at times, I find the best time to do location sessions is later in the afternoon about an hour before sunset when the sun isn't as harsh and gives that beautiful light.
Q. How long does a session usually take?
A. Newborn sessions, It really depends on the baby. But typically last around 2 hours. Sometimes babies are more fussy and need longer for settling and feeds to be happy for their images. I never rush my sessions and follow baby’s lead. Sometimes you need a lot of patience to get the variety of images you want for your gallery. It’s always worth it when you see the end result.
Sunset Family, Maternity & Children sessions 30-45mins Sometimes with children sessions can take a little longer than planned and sometimes they can do an amazing job and fly straight them.
Boudoir sessions anywhere from 1-2 hrs just depends how many images we are aiming for, how many outfit changes and how many ideas both myself and my client come up with, these sessions are based on empowering yourself and are fun sessions

A. Yes I have all my vaccinations up to date. A newborn is at the stage where they are too young to have vaccinations, so it is really important to ensure your newborn photographer has their vaccinations up to date including the covid-19 vaccinations.
Q. CAN I BRING ALONG FAMILY OR FRIENDS?
A. For studio sessions I ask for immediate family only who's attending the session for the duration of your studio session. But if my clients are bringing their baby/children by themselves and would like to bring their mum or friend along that is totally fine.

A. No, your pricing remains the same as at the time that you booked. Once you have booked in and paid your deposit then you only pay the prices that you booked in for, not any increased prices.
Q. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK A NEWBORN SESSION?
A. The ideal time is when you have a due date. I do only take on a certain number of sessions per month, so if you have a due date then we can book you in, we book in a tentative date I will keep in touch with you as your due date gets closer, we will discuss your session and what colours, props, ideas you would like. Q. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR PRODUCTS AND THOSE FROM A BUDGET PRINT STORE?
A. Our products are from professional printing labs that only sell to photographers. They are professionally produced by people who obsess over finer details of the product to ensure it is a quality product that you are delighted with. All of the products I offer are displayed throughout my studio, you are welcome to take a closer look at them, when you look and feel them you will see and feel that quality in them. If there’s a product that I don't offer please contact me as I will do my best to source that product for you.
Q. MY NEWBORN’S SKIN IS BLOTCHY OR FLAKY, SHOULD I WAIT LONGER BEFORE HAVING THE PHOTO SHOOT?
A. Most newborns don’t have great skin. We retouch the photos to remove any temporary blotchiness/flakiness or blemishes, jaundice, to ensure nice even skin tones. The sooner you have the newborn shoot, the easier it will be to capture those great sleepy and curly poses.
