What to wear for your next photoshoot!

When planning your outfit for your next photoshoot, start by choosing a cohesive color palette that complements the location and setting. Neutrals and earthy tones, such as beige, white, and muted greens and tans/browns/rust, are versatile and tend to photograph well in various environments. When you’re shooting in nature, these colors will blend seamlessly with the backdrop, while in urban settings, they provide a sophisticated contrast. Adding one patterned piece to your ensemble can create visual interest without overwhelming the photo. This strategy helps maintain a timeless look that will remain stylish over the years.

Texture plays a crucial role in enhancing the visual appeal of your photos. Incorporating different fabrics like knitwear, lace, linen, or high-quality denim can add depth and interest to your outfit. For instance, a flowy dress can introduce movement and elegance, particularly in outdoor settings. Avoid overly bold patterns and any logos, as they can be distracting and date your photos. Instead, focus on subtle details that complement each other and the overall theme of the shoot

Comfort is key to looking natural and relaxed in your photos. Choose outfits that you feel confident in and that allow you to move freely. Ensure that everyone involved in the photoshoot, especially children, is dressed appropriately for the weather and location. Uncomfortable clothing can restrict movement and affect your expressions, leading to less natural-looking photos. Accessories, such as a statement necklace or a stylish hat, can add a personal touch to your outfit without overpowering the overall look. Ultimately, feeling comfortable and confident will help you shine in your photos, resulting in beautiful, authentic images

When you have a session with me I send you my client styling guide this goes over in more detail for outfit options. Plus I have my client closet which I also send you as well sometimes it can be hard finding the right outfits so my client closet updates throughout the year and I get alot of feedback from families that they love it and the idea of not having to stress about trying to find outfits for their photoshoot I've done all that for them all they have to do is decide what to wear. And if clients are unsure which one to wear they can either come to the studio to try them on beforehand or I can bring their options to the session and we just meet that little bit earlier to allow for trying them on. :)
